How it works
Booked online. Done by a neighbor.
Two sides to every job: the homeowner who books it and the crew member who shows up. Here's both, start to finish.
For homeowners
Four steps, no phone tag.
Everything happens on the booking page and by email. You never have to call anyone, wait for a quote, or be home.
- Choose the yard and sizes. Front, back or both, with a size for each. Small is roughly 30 by 50 feet, large is 70 by 100 or more. A guide on the booking page, in feet and bags, keeps it honest, and if you guess big you only pay for what it turns out to be.
- Choose a three-day window. We confirm the exact day the evening before by email. Nobody needs to be home; the crew works outside and never comes in.
- Save a card. Nothing is charged until the job is finished and reviewed by our team.
- Get photos, then pay. Before and after photos land in your inbox. Not happy? Reply within 24 hours and we make it right: a return visit, a price adjustment or a refund.
If nobody can take your window
Jobs post to crew near you the moment you book. Seasons is new and we're still recruiting in some neighborhoods, so if it's still unclaimed on the last day of your window, we email you that day, nothing is charged, and you can pick a new window with one click.
Remember who's coming
A local teen or young adult doing a real job, often for the first time. They've read the guide for your service, passed a test on it, and work from a checklist on their phone. They're insured and trained, and they'll appreciate your patience.
For the crew
A real first job.
Ages 16 to 21. You pick the jobs, you pick the days, and you're paid through payroll for every job you finish. Work is seasonal and depends on bookings near you, so think of it as extra, not a schedule.
16 or 17: a parent or guardian signs off when you apply. 18 and up: you apply on your own.
- Apply (five minutes). Tell us where you live and how far you can go: on foot, by bike or by car. Confirm your email.
- Get approved. Our team reviews every application. Your payroll paperwork arrives by email from our payroll provider, and the ID check inside it is what opens your job board.
- Read a guide and pass its test. Two minutes of reading, the test in the app. Each service opens to you once you've passed its test, and it's how you find out what the job actually is. Most people start with leaf raking.
- Pick jobs near you. Open jobs show the pay up front. Claim one, pick your day, show up in the window. Partner up on any job if you'd like; each of you is paid your own share.
- Check in, do the checklist, send photos. The app times the job for payroll. Outside only, daylight only, and a one-tap safe-stop if anything feels wrong.
- Get paid on payroll. You're a Wild Fox Painting employee on W-2, covered by our insurance. Every service has its own guide and test; pass one and those jobs open up to you too.
- Tools are not your problem. Bring what you have from home. Anything a service needs that you don't own, Seasons gives you, free, along with spare bags and cleaning supplies. Nothing comes out of your pay.
Join the crew Parents: the application explains your part.
When something goes wrong
It will, sometimes. Here's what happens.
Teens doing careful work at a beginner's pace will miss a corner now and then. The service is built so a miss costs you nothing and teaches them something.
A missed spot. Flag it from the email within 24 hours. We send the crew back, adjust the price or refund, your call.
A crew member who can't make it. They give the job back in the app and it reposts to others nearby. If it's still unclaimed at the end of your window, you're told that day and charged nothing.
A job that runs long. Our team watches check-ins. If a job runs well past its estimate we check on the crew member, and parents of minors hear from us too.
A crew member who feels unsafe. They leave first and tap the safe-stop after. Our team follows up with the customer; the crew member never has to.
- Questions
- Reply to any email from us, or send a note. A person answers, usually within a business day.
- Prices
- Fixed by yard part and size, shown before you book. See the services.
- The professional side
- Painting and drywall are professional crews, never the teens.
