What to expect · Holiday lights & decor, ground level

Holiday lights & decor, ground level: what done looks like.

Their own lights and figures are up on railings, bushes, posts and the lawn, tested and on a timer, with nothing above shoulder height.

The standard

This page is the same one the crew is trained on.

Every crew member reads a guide for holiday lights & decor, ground level, passes a test on it, and ticks a checklist on their phone while they work. Our team reviews their before and after photos against this standard before your card is charged. Here it is, so you can hold us to it.

Done means

  • Straight lines on railings, no drooping loops.
  • Cords tucked, nothing to trip on.
  • Everything lights when the timer trips.
The crew's checklist
  • Work area clear and tidy
  • Bags tied and at the curb
  • Gates closed as found
Not part of this job
roofs, gutters, eaves, anything needing a ladder; buying decorations.
Typical time
About 1 hr 30 min for a typical yard

In pictures

Not good, and good.

In each picture the left side is what our team sends back, and the right side is what you should see when the crew leaves.

How the day goes, step by step, is on the holiday lights & decor, ground level service page; this page is the standard the crew is held to.

Before we arrive

What you have ready.

  • Your lights and figures out of storage and in one place (garage floor or porch), untangled if you can.
  • Outdoor-rated extension cords and timers, enough to reach each spot from an outlet.
  • Light clips or hooks for railings and posts, if you have a preference. A note or a photo of where things go.
  • Nothing goes on the roof, gutters or above shoulder height; plan the display for railings, bushes, posts and the lawn.
  • Gate unlocked, dogs inside for the visit.

The crew brings: Zip ties, gloves, a two-step stool, a plug tester. Nothing taller than that stool, never a ladder.

Reminders
This list is on your booking page, in your booking email, and in a note the day before the visit.
Crew age
16 and over, tested on this job.
Weather
Lights don't go up in wind, rain or snow (wet cords, slick railings). Cold is fine. If the forecast turns we move the visit and email you the evening before.
Something not ready?
Reply to any of our emails and we'll move the visit. Nothing is charged until the job is done.

That's the whole standard.

No fine print. If what you see doesn't match this page, say so within 24 hours and our team sends the crew back, adjusts the price or refunds.

Seasons is new. We expect most jobs to be claimed by a local crew member within a day or two of booking and to happen as planned, but some won't be. Some don't: nobody claims the job, weather stops it, or the crew member who claimed it gets sick, and another crew member may not be free to pick it up. When that happens we email you, nothing is charged, and you can rebook in one click or walk away. We'd rather say that plainly than promise what a small crew can't.
