What to expect · Garage refresh

Garage refresh: what done looks like.

With the cars out, the floor swept wall to wall, cobwebs down, bench top and reachable shelf fronts and the door wiped, sweepings bagged; nothing heavy moved, nothing hazardous touched.

The standard

This page is the same one the crew is trained on.

Every crew member reads a guide for garage refresh, passes a test on it, and ticks a checklist on their phone while they work. Our team reviews their before and after photos against this standard before your card is charged. Here it is, so you can hold us to it.

Done means

  • Floor clear of grit wall to wall.
  • No cobwebs in the corners.
  • Everything exactly where it was.
The crew's checklist
  • Floor swept wall to wall
  • Cobwebs down
  • Bench top and reachable shelf fronts wiped
  • Sweepings bagged
  • Nothing heavy or hazardous touched
Not part of this job
moving anything heavy, hazardous materials of any kind (fuel, paint, chemicals), pressure washing, organizing, disposal.
Typical time
About 1 hr for a typical visit

Clean, not restore

Damaged or stained is different than dirty.

This is a cleaning. The crew takes off dirt, dust, cobwebs, grime and fingerprints with real effort and a product that suits the surface. What it won't do is change anything permanent or set in: worn or chipped paint, scuffs that went through the finish, water marks in wood, rust, dents, old scratches, sun fading, hard-water etching on glass, or stains that have soaked into grout, fabric or bare wood. Those need a painter or a refinisher, not a cloth. If you're not sure which you're looking at, send a photo with the booking and we'll tell you honestly before anyone comes out.

In pictures

Not good, and good.

In each picture the left side is what our team sends back, and the right side is what you should see when the crew leaves.

How the day goes, step by step, is on the garage refresh service page; this page is the standard the crew is held to.

Before we arrive

What you have ready.

  • Cars out of the garage before the visit.
  • Fuel, paint, chemicals and batteries up on shelves if you can; the crew won't touch or move them wherever they are.
  • Bins for the sweepings, or bags your pickup accepts.
  • An adult who lives there home for the whole visit.
  • Pets in another room.
  • A clear path to each area on the list.

The crew brings: Push broom, dustpan, extendable duster, bags, cloths.

Reminders
This list is on your booking page, in your booking email, and in a note the day before the visit.
Crew age
18 and over, ID verified, background-checked.
Weather
Indoor visits aren't affected by weather. If roads are bad enough that the crew can't get there safely, we'll email you and move it.
Something not ready?
Reply to any of our emails and we'll move the visit. Nothing is charged until the job is done.

That's the whole standard.

No fine print. If what you see doesn't match this page, say so within 24 hours and our team sends the crew back, adjusts the price or refunds.

Seasons is new. We expect most jobs to be claimed by a local crew member within a day or two of booking and to happen as planned, but some won't be. Some don't: nobody claims the job, weather stops it, or the crew member who claimed it gets sick, and another crew member may not be free to pick it up. When that happens we email you, nothing is charged, and you can rebook in one click or walk away. We'd rather say that plainly than promise what a small crew can't.
