What to expect · Trash & recycling bin cleaning

Trash & recycling bin cleaning: what done looks like.

Each empty bin is rinsed, scrubbed inside and out with mild soap, rinsed clean, tipped to drain, left open to dry, and put back where it lives. No smell, no residue, no soap film.

The standard

This page is the same one the crew is trained on.

Every crew member reads a guide for trash & recycling bin cleaning, passes a test on it, and ticks a checklist on their phone while they work. Our team reviews their before and after photos against this standard before your card is charged. Here it is, so you can hold us to it.

Done means

  • No residue, no smell, no soap film inside.
  • Outside and lid wiped.
  • Bins back in place, drained.
The crew's checklist
  • Work area clear and tidy
  • Bags tied and stacked in the spot the customer chose
  • Gates closed as found
Not part of this job
pressure washing, bleach or disinfectants, bins with trash still in them, hauling.
Typical time
About 30 min for a typical yard

Clean, not restore

Damaged or stained is different than dirty.

This is a cleaning. The crew takes off dirt, dust, cobwebs, grime and fingerprints with real effort and a product that suits the surface. What it won't do is change anything permanent or set in: worn or chipped paint, scuffs that went through the finish, water marks in wood, rust, dents, old scratches, sun fading, hard-water etching on glass, or stains that have soaked into grout, fabric or bare wood. Those need a painter or a refinisher, not a cloth. If you're not sure which you're looking at, send a photo with the booking and we'll tell you honestly before anyone comes out.

In pictures

Not good, and good.

In each picture the left side is what our team sends back, and the right side is what you should see when the crew leaves.

How the day goes, step by step, is on the trash & recycling bin cleaning service page; this page is the standard the crew is held to.

Before we arrive

What you have ready.

  • Book for your pickup day, after the truck has been: the bins have to be empty.
  • Bins at the curb or by the garage, lids open if you can, and the outdoor spigot on with a hose that reaches.
  • Tell us where the clean bins go back to.

The crew brings: A long-handled stiff brush, mild dish soap, gloves, a bucket. No bleach, no pressure washer.

Reminders
This list is on your booking page, in your booking email, and in a note the day before the visit.
Crew age
16 and over, tested on this job.
Weather
Bins are washed with your hose, so it needs a day above freezing without rain. We move the visit if needed and email you the evening before.
Something not ready?
Reply to any of our emails and we'll move the visit. Nothing is charged until the job is done.

That's the whole standard.

No fine print. If what you see doesn't match this page, say so within 24 hours and our team sends the crew back, adjusts the price or refunds.

Seasons is new. We expect most jobs to be claimed by a local crew member within a day or two of booking and to happen as planned, but some won't be. Some don't: nobody claims the job, weather stops it, or the crew member who claimed it gets sick, and another crew member may not be free to pick it up. When that happens we email you, nothing is charged, and you can rebook in one click or walk away. We'd rather say that plainly than promise what a small crew can't.
